Inspired by the owner’s love for Mediterranean architecture and sensibilities, the house features many architectural surprises. The home’s main axis is positioned around a central rotunda, an architectural design based on old Renaissance architecture. The master suite comprises a cozy study, breakfast area, dual master baths, and dressing areas. The coffered ceiling in the bedroom adds a nice architectural detail. The grand foyer tricks the eye with a series of arches and columns that support a groin-vaulted ceiling. In the adjacent formal living room, floor-to-ceiling windows preserve the waterfront view and soak both rooms with light. Plush chenille furniture, faux-painted walls, and silk window draping keep the interiors comfortable and intimate.
